To publicise the latest edition of the Upload Cinema festival, LOLA found the fascinating story of Hikikomori, the Japanese man who decided to lock himself up in his house for four years and so whose only contact with the outside world was through the internet.

That is, until Upload Cinema and LOLA invited him to come and see the best of the internet at the festival in Madrid. The campaign’s tagline was “the internet brings out the best and the worst”.
