With Spain’s financial crisis contributing to all time record figures of youth unemployment, LOLA thought up an interesting way to help out a fraction of those affected by this problem and hopefully inspire many more. LOLA suggested to new rock band YDKM that they launch their first single, “Hijos del Presente” (Children of Today), with a music video filmed and produced by 11 unemployed Spanish young people.

With this initiative, which also had its own website, 11menos.com, so that potential future employers could find the contact details of these 11 young people, LOLA were able to give a small portion of Spain’s youth a purpose, an aim and a very real goal.
