The “career” of Mónica Limón!

Spanish Newspaper El Mundo this week reported on the phenomenon of Mónica Limón, the fictitious character created by LOLA for its Shandy Cruzcampo 2012 summer campaign.

“This Friday the National Publicity Day was celebrated. San Publicito, they call it. At LOLA they were celebrating the success of a campaign thought up to refresh the summer. One of the adverts of the year,” wrote El Mundo.

“She exists and she will continue to grew, said Sitor Morillo, Creative Director at LOLA referring to the mysterious Mónica Limón. “It’s true that she started out as a joke and we didn’t realise the success she would have.”

Nacho Oñate, also a Creative Director at LOLA, added: “On the social networks everyone was asking who this girl was. So we thought we must make the most of it and so we decided to launch her musical career.”

In December, Mónica Limón’s first single “La Shan de mi Dy” was launched by LOLA, with the help of the Tango agency, which you can see below. “Where her musical career goes from here, is a mystery,” concluded Néstor Garcia, another Creative Director at LOLA.
