Love Plane takes tweets to the skies

LOLA has taken PDAs (Public Displays of Affection) to a whole new level with their latest campaign for Cornetto. The Cornetto Love Plane has this summer been towing romantic tweets from loved-up young people across the beaches of Costa del Sol in Spain.

“With the Cornetto Love Plane, LOLA has given an incredible opportunity for those brave teens to have fun demonstrating their love in front of the whole world” said Alberto Di Leo, Vice-President of Cornetto Worldwide at Unilever.

All the young people had to do was tweet using the hashtag #cornettoskytweets and the results were heart-warming, emotional and funny. Among the many tweets towed by the love plane was a marriage proposal, which was accepted there and then on the beach!

“This is the type of event that brands have to do more often. Something that brings its consumers close in a surprising, fun and useful way.” said Pancho Cassis, Global Creative Director of Cornetto at Lola.
